M&G Imports and Distribution

Challenge

M&G Imports and Distribution has exclusive rights to beverages from around the world and imports them into Canada. When you import the beverages, the Canadian market was not used to foreign beverages and a specific marketing strategy was needed in order to get local consumers to purchase the beverages. M&G Imports and Distribution had no online presence and our job was to get them into LCBO as well as private restaurants around Canada.

Strategy & Solution:

We looked at the industry as a whole and found that the industry didn’t have much tech innovation, which is why we decided to do an extremely modern website. From there, we approached small businesses through Facebook Ads and were successful. We decided to try a traditional approach since a lot of the buyers in the industry are very traditional. Miele Media recommended a specific trade show and designed the booth to get leads and convert after the show. We saw 60% of our leads at the trade show convert within 2 weeks after the trade show.

Result

Additional to the 60% conversions within the first 2 weeks, we were able to close more vendors after that 2 week time frame. We began a lifestyle Instagram page and started content marketing which has been extremely effective.
